AVIT Technician

Physical Security Technician

Overview:

GBS has an Electronic Security Systems Integration department that specializes in Consulting, Designing, Project Management, Installation, and Service of integrated Security Access Control and Video Surveillance systems. Our projects range in scope from small to enterprise-level implementations. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Installs wire, read blueprints, mount system panels and devices, and wire circuit and electrical connections for Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Detection Systems
  • Verify Security System equipment functionality. Actively tests equipment, connections, and signals. Responsible for problem identification and correction
  • Respond to customer service calls, troubleshoot and repair as necessary
  • Stay current with latest hardware and software versions
  • Constantly maintain system knowledge and proficiency
  • Educate and train clients on system administration procedures and functionality
  • Attend pre-sales meetings with clients to assist in developing technology solutions

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must have 2-5 years of experience installing and servicing integrated security and access/video systems. Lenel, Genetec, Milestone certifications are a plus

  • Understanding of and experience working with electrical circuits
  • Project Management experience is desirable

Multimedia Specialist

Multi-Media Specialist

The Multi-Media Specialist is a valued team member, and part of our marketing and communications efforts. This role is responsible for the development of high-quality design, photography and video content that helps grow the GBS business.

The majority of the creative work has two primary audiences – internal teams such as sales and division managers, as well as external communications which include marketing campaigns that fuel our growth plans. Marketing mediums include print collateral, digital advertising, digital signage and all online media formats. Important elements within the marketing mix include email marketing, social media graphics and management, promotional material, web layout and graphics design. Daily activities also include videography, photography and video editing. We utilize all forms of media to attract attention and persuade our target audience of C-Suite decision-makers.

This position will be filled by a competent, responsible, hardworking individual who is passionate about doing great work, serving our stakeholders, and communicating internally and externally with clarity and persuasiveness.Essential Job Functions:
(40%) Marketing Project Design & Development: Graphic development and layout required to produce marketing materials and marketing campaign components that support our growth efforts. Design work and managing multiple design projects from concept to completion will account for approximately 40% of daily activities.  

(30%) Video Production & Editing: Production of high-quality videography and photography for use across all mediums. Video productions range from in-house “studio-type” productions to outdoor and at-client location productions. The majority of video production projects are ultimately used as part of a marketing campaign initiative. However, our video services are a valuable resource and we are looking to transform our video operation from a solely internal resource to a revenue generator. Candidates with experience creating a revenue-generating videography operation and managing client communications is a distinct plus

(10%) Digital Signage Design & Management: Collaboratively develops vision and brings that vision to life on digital screens. Digital signage ranges from internally-focused team communications to full client engagement. Selection Criteria:
The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong working, hands-on knowledge and experience of graphic design, photo editing, video capture/ editing, and motion graphics. This position will work collaboratively with in-house html resources to develop the visual image of our internal website, as well as the web presence of clients. Experience in email design, creation and implementation is also any important part of this role.

The candidate should have strong command of marketing principles accompanied by solid verbal, grammar and communication skills. Teamwork and the shared desire to be a highly functioning marketing team is a must. GBS is looking for an experienced, seasoned developer. As the expert amongst a small team of professionals, you will execute web-based projects and applications as a tactic in marketing and branding strategy for primarily small to mid-sized organizations across a number of industries. The successful candidate will have a breadth of design experiences across a host of varying sites. This person must have experience programming PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Vue.js, PHP, API’s and content management systems (specifically WordPress with Elementor). A thorough understanding of responsive techniques and user experience is essential.   • Works with design team to develop interactive site architecture for new websites
  • Develops programming code for assigned web projects based on creative and marketing strategies stated in approved proposals
