Labor Practices Policy
- Purpose
Global Business Solutions, Inc. (GBS) is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in labor practices. This policy adhere to the SA8000:2014 Standards, and aligns with our core values of integrity, excellence, and respect for human rights.
- Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders associated with GBS. It governs working conditions, labor rights, and ethical business practices across all company operations.
- Policy Guidelines
3.1 Child Labor
- GBS strictly prohibits the employment of children under 15 years (or the legal working age, if higher).
- If young workers (15–18 years) are employed, they must not engage in hazardous or night work that interferes with education or well-being.
- A remediation program will be implemented if any child labor is found, ensuring education and well-being.
3.2 Forced & Compulsory Labor
- No forced, bonded, or involuntary labor is allowed. Employees must work voluntarily and retain full control over their employment.
- Workers will not be required to surrender identity documents, deposits, or payments to secure employment.
3.3 Health & Safety
- A safe, hygienic, and healthy work environment will be maintained, including preventative safety measures, emergency preparedness, and access to clean facilities.
- Workers will receive regular safety training and have the right to refuse unsafe work without retaliation.
- Workplace hazards will be identified, monitored, and mitigated in compliance with applicable occupational health laws.
3.4 Discrimination

3.5 Disciplinary Practices & Workplace Conduct
- GBS prohibits any form of abuse, harassment, or inhumane treatment, including verbal, physical, psychological, or sexual harassment.
- Disciplinary actions will be fair, transparent, and compliant with legal regulations.
3.6 Working Hours
- Working hours will not exceed 40 hours per week, with at least one rest day every seven days.
- Overtime will be voluntary, not exceeding 12 hours per week, and compensated at time and a half rate by applicable laws.
3.7 Compensation & Benefits
- Employees will receive fair wages that meet or exceed legal minimum wage requirements.
- All wages will be paid on time, transparently, and without unlawful deductions.
- Employees will receive all legally required benefits, including paid leave, sick leave, and social security contributions.
3.8 Supplier & Subcontractor Responsibility
- GBS expects all suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners to comply with SA8000 labor standards.
- Regular social audits will be conducted to ensure compliance.
- Any violations will require corrective action, and non-compliant suppliers risk contract termination.
- Continuous Improvement
- GBS is committed to ongoing training, monitoring, and policy updates to improve labor standards and compliance.
- Employees are encouraged to provide feedback on labor conditions and participate in ethical workplace development.
